Darren Waller's Hamstring Injury: A Setback for the Raiders

Waller ruled out with a hamstring injury

Tight end suffered the injury in the first quarter against the Chiefs

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller was ruled out with a hamstring injury Monday night after just six plays against the rival Kansas City Chiefs. Waller, who was acquired in a trade with the Raiders in the offseason, is a key part of the Las Vegas offense and his absence will be a major blow. The Raiders are already without wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, who was involved in a fatal car crash last month. Waller told reporters on Wednesday that the injured right hamstring hes dealing with early in the 2023 season is the same one that bothered him at the end of last season. He said he aggravated the injury during the Raiders' Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Waller said he is day-to-day and hopes to be back on the field soon. The Raiders are off this week and will return to action on October 10 against the Denver Broncos.
